We have had an amazing response so far to this project. I am extreamly thrilled and can’t wait til we start receiving the dolls in.

Until then we’ve had some folks post pictures on our Facebook page.

Here a few of them:

This is my third Uglee Doll. I love pulling inspiration from other dolls that have been made. Tomorrow I'm going to copy Jody Koerper's sock monkey Uglee 🙂 by Rachel Rood Solberg

Calling all in the crafting community to crochet, knit or sew Uglee Dolls.

Crochet Patterns and Knit Patterns are available at the top of the page.

Our mission is for anyone looking to volunteer their time to crochet, knit or sew together Uglee Dolls and to have them collected and sent out to kids that are currently affected by natural and man-made disasters. We are currently asking for all to spread the word of this project in your community. We will have an address posted shortly where all shipments can be sent to. We are looking to be able to send our first shipment out to Joplin, Mo by Saturday 7/9/2011.

All colors can be used. I personally think solids are better. It certainty doesn’t matter though. Please use machine washable and dryable yarn.

The Uglee Doll Crochet Pattern is from Caroline Chrisco at The Kansas Hooker.
